This is a Damage Tank build for Mo & Krill that is good at burst damage, movement, and tankiness. Very annotated so new Mo & Krill players can understand the what and why of the character. Streaming at twitch.tv/Falcon_DL @thefalconwarrior on discord for any questions
1Early Lane
Author's category · 5 items · First buys - Left to Right - Focusing lane core
Mystic Burst
You can proc this right away with T1 Scorn. Makes your Scorn heal hard try to hit as many targets at once with it.
Quicksilver Reload
Even more healing and damage just like Mystic Burst. The second you get this you can start making aggressive health trades.
Extra Spirit
Filler for 4.8k spirit spike, extra damage overall. Sell when you need a slot.
2Lane Counter-Buysoptional
Author's category · 6 items · Read annotations of optional sections to learn
Monster Rounds
Great item for if getting poked out while clearing waves and for tower diving. Buy first item if getting attacked super hard in lane and stuck behind shop.
Rebuttal
Great if they are punch heavy players, or for Viscous Punches. Good for baiting parries too.
Reactive Barrier
3Mid game
Game stage · 7 items · Second buys - Left to Right - Focusing spikes - Get an armor at the end of this section
Fortitude
Good perma-roam on map since there's so much farm everywhere, and the extra hp is not remiss.
Torment Pulse
Large source of your damage and helps with farm, lane clear, and tick dmg overall.
Healbane
Good if you just need a cheap antiheal and if no one else is buying it its good to get since they dont stack with other Healbanes.
4Late game
Game stage · 5 items · Third buys - Any order - YOU SHOULD HAVE 2 ARMORS EVENTUALLY
Phantom Strike
Instant gap closer and a disarm, perfect for fliers/Lash/Celeste/Holliday since it has crazy range.
Spirit Burn
Late game you're able to proc this with just a Burrow & Scorn so this is your strong antiheal and great for group burrow hits. Works best with Escalating Exposure.
Scourge
AMAZING active item that gives huge spirit resist, and more AOE damage. Kind of presses you for active slots but well worth it for the extra percentage-based damage.
5Armoroptional
Author's category · 5 items · Typically you should have two or more of these by end game
Spirit Resilience
Check Incoming damage and if mostly Spirit, buy this. Keep in mind that Spirit Shielding is a lot of shield on its own. Enchanter's Emblem is a cheaper alternative.
Metal Skin
Good counter to one really oppressive gun hero, get Return Fire too if you have active slots.
Plated Armor
6Counter Itemsoptional
Author's category · 6 items · You can ignore the optional sections if you just want a quick build
Dispel Magic
Good item but you're so desperate for Active Slots it's hard to use sometimes, but some games it's just necessary to get.
Juggernaut
Great counter buy to gun heroes and melee spammers, but on its own won't protect you. AMAZING into Ricochet users.
Colossus
7Testingoptional
Author's category · 9 items · Keep in mind these are just really uncommon buys, only buy if you know what you're doing | discord: thefalconwarrior for any questions
Alchemical Fire
Good for more damage on towers, and for defending a lane or teamfights, but you are already good at defending lanes.
Warp Stone
The best movement item in the game in my opinion. Short cooldown, instant teleport, and bullet resist.
8Evil Buttonoptional
Author's category · 1 items
Cursed Relic
Really op item for Mo & Krill since it's just another shutdown, and the damage penalty is basically forgettable as long as you use it after you've used your kit.
Categories appear in the author's order. Only the editor's default Early, Mid and Late sections are marked as game stages; the author's own categories keep their names. “Built from” links come from the game's item recipes.
| Scorn: Ability unlocked, step 1 | Scorn: 1 AP upgrade, step 2 | Scorn: 2 AP upgrade, step 4 | Scorn: 5 AP upgrade, step 10 |
Cold Front
Early resist, good damage increase in combination with any ability. Try to use it off cooldown.
Trophy Collector
Overall sprint speed, once you have this you need to be at every fight in order to start printing money. Alternatively get Enduring Speed if you need slow resist and it's a low kill game overall.
Bebop hard counter item. Good for dealing with stun heavy lanes that you are struggling to avoid.
Golden Goose Egg
Ultimate stall lane item. Buy first item if you're super hopeless about winning lane. Sell for a T3 Green.
Arcane Surge
W stamina spam. Arcane Surging Burrow hits full T2 camp. Surge before ult if you can. Do not underestimate the range this gives to your Sandblast. Good alternative to Cold Front, don't buy both.
Slowing Hex
Buy instead of Cold Front in lane if you can identify you're gonna need it for early kills. You can buy it after but make sure you're not slotlocked.
Compress Cooldown
Really important for extra burrows for tunnel running and general rotation/damage. Can put into Combo if you need more ults.
Superior Duration
Basically the largest jump in your burrow damage. Necessary for running tunnels quickly, and good for actives you'll buy.
Superior Cooldown
Built from Compress Cooldown
Shortens all your cooldowns for more Burrows and Sandblasts. Can skip if you need a 6k item.
Tankbuster
Built from Mystic Burst
Consistent 15% of your damage by end game. Obviously does more damage to higher health targets so prioritize them if just looking for heals. Run Golden Statues to get the 6 Spirit you'll need.
Escalating Exposure
This is what allows your damage to scale late game if they're buying resists, but it is not completely necessary. Very nice against spirit heavy comps. Works best with Torment/Scourge/Spirit Burn.
Transcendent Cooldown
Built from Superior Cooldown
Buy if you have full active slots or items with passives like Witchmail since this will lower the cooldown on them.
Probably the best possible item for dealing with gun heroes. Especially for the ones that apply effects. Bullet Resilience is a cheaper alternative.
Witchmail
Good for against FULL spirit teams, really a necessity buy if pressed for slots. Good against Infernus, Bebop, Geist, Lash etc.
Unstoppable
Great item for if they keep stunning you out of Ult or Burrow. Good knockup counter too.
Very good uber late defensive item. I buy specifically if I'm the solo tank or if my other tank is getting blown up.
Divine Barrier
A good counter to Wraith/Pocket ults. It's the only cleanse item in the game that can remove negative effects from ultimates. Buy it if you're relying on one Carry especially, SPAM it on them.
Disarming Hex
Great item for dealing with gun heroes that are insanely oppressive. Only worth getting if a lot of disarm targets.
Arctic Blast
Built from Cold Front
Good for slow and the fact it completely stops movement and casting movement abilities. Makes proccing Spirit Burn trivially easy. MORE CC IS SUPER GOOD. Use right after ult to counter movement.
Majestic Leap
Funny haha tech for Combo, best when used in combination with Veil Walker. Typically buy both. Hard countered by Torment Pulse, DO NOT target people who have it.
Cheat Death
Get if you need that extra umfph to get away for escapes. Also good for securing that ult kill if they keep blowing you up before they die.
Indomitable
Built from Reactive Barrier
Poor Man's Unstoppable.
Duration Extender
Cheap buy into a later Superior Duration, only buy if you know your NEXT Combo is gonna need the duration. Really techy buy.
Greater Expansion
Good for basically everything you buy, but with current meta being heavy burst damage Mo & Krill, the slots are kind of hard to fit it into.
Boundless Spirit
This should literally be the LAST item you buy, like literally full build upgrade kind of item after all other damage items are bought.
Magic Carpet
Silly freaking billy buy where you fly around and get free escapes.
