Hit em' with the ooooooool time waster. You do not do damage. You steal farm and you deny game-winning ults. Waste their time. Give them nothing.
1Early game
Game stage · 5 items
Trophy Collector
I buy trophy collector because I like the dinging noise it makes. This is actively hostile to your lanemate. Maybe don't do this.
Healing Rite
The first step towards narsty beam plays.
Rescue Beam
Built from Healing Rite
Hooray! Rescue Beam!
Majestic Leap
I buy this to run urn early, but often get Healing Rite and Beam first instead if lane isn't a stomp. Run every urn. They are yours by mandate of heaven. Use to escape from fights in cube as well.
Duration Extender
Put on cube for majestic leap escapes
2Mid game
Game stage · 5 items
Superior Duration
Built from Duration Extender
Makes majestic leap cube escapes more reliable, also very good for ball both duration and stun.
Ethereal Shift
Us this to stall out more cubes. This is also how you counter silences.
Compress Cooldown
Put on cube, obviously.
3Late game
Game stage · 4 items
Indomitable
Built from Reactive Barrier
Fuck tha curse
Extra Charge
I always get this. Puddle punch rotates are very important. It's still a must buy even though you don't do any damage.
Cheat Death
This combined with indom REALLY helps to counter curses.
4Frivolitiesoptional
Author's category · 3 items
Spellbreaker
Counter buy item for dealing with fucking wizards. Also reduces curse time which is nice.
Rapid Recharge
Built from Extra Charge
More punch. More rotate.
Witchmail
I usually buy this as one of my last items. Its very funny.
5Imagine damageoptional
Author's category · 2 items
Torment Pulse
This is good on you because of the stalling you do, but its not really important because again, you don't do damage.
Boundless Spirit
Big boom. You might want to get this over support hybrid items but your mileage may vary.
6More Healingoptional
Author's category · 2 items
Healing Booster
Viscous' support value is more in ability blocking and positioning via punch. Healing is very secondary. However, you'll be doing healing incidentally, so this is still good.
Healing Tempo
Built from Healing Booster
If you're already buying healing booster, you should probably also get this.
7Other Items and Counterbuys!optional
Author's category · 8 items
Divine Barrier
Silence/Hex are your biggest counters (Other than curse) and this clears them. Helps with clearing ult debuffs that your cube can't (Affliction, Drifter's whistle, etc). Replacesb Ethereal Shift.
Diviner's Kevlar
Good for ballers.
Plated Armor
8Graveyard for my son.optional
Author's category · 1 items
Golden Goose Egg
This is my son. Yoshi killed him.
9GENERAL INFO:
Author's category · 0 items · The goal of this build is to waste as much of the enemy's time as possible. You need to be an enticing target constantly, but not in a way that gets you killed all the time. To that end, echo-cube and e-shift juggling into leap-escapes is the play. Use your first cube fairly early while getting jumped. Try to stall out a few seconds once it pops via your healthbar, then pop e-shift. By the time e-shift is up, ideally, the cube is back. Then after that cube, stall if you can, but pop echo into another cube early enough that you definitely don't die. Then, use the extended duration of your cube to let leap's damage cooldown come off, and leap away to safety. Even if they keep chasing you, by the time any of them catch you, you should have more resources to burn. Use ball as a last resort also, and you can beam heal yourself in ball on the way out.

10THE STRATEGY:
Author's category · 0 items · During fights, you're a support. You cube allies, beam them or puddle punch them out of danger, and puddle punch enemies into bad positions. Outside of fights, you steal the enemy jungle, shove lanes in a braindead fashion, and generally be annoying and constantly demanding of the enemy's attention. Ideally, you have several enemies occupied for minutes at a time, and can get away scott free because of your build. You especially want to annoy enemy carries, and get in the way of them solo farming. You want to be annoying enough that they try to chase you, then stay tantalizingly out of reach so that they KEEP wanting to chase you, to the detriment of their team.

11LEAP STUFF:
Author's category · 0 items · Leap is one of the best items for Viscous. With T2 cube and superior duration, cube lasts longer than leap's damage cooldown, meaning you can leap out of it by mashing leap, even in the middle of the enemy. Also, if you place a puddle punch on a wall, then leap just before the punch hits you, you gain INSANE momentum combined from leap and punch. If you do this off of a slope like at the urn pickup, and cube in midair, you gain even more momentum. If you hit it right, you can deliver Urn in less than 10 seconds.

12BEAM STUFF:
Author's category · 0 items · Beam is part of the bread-and-butter toolkit of support viscous. Beam + cube is an amazing combo, and you can also use beam in ball to truly yank your allies out of certain death. There are a million ways to use beam to shift a teamfight, but most often you'll be using it to deny the enemy team picks. Pay very close attention to allies when they're deep in enemy territory or up a lane, and try to get them out if they mess up and overstay their welcome.

13ECHO AND E-SHIFT:
Author's category · 0 items · Echo Shard and Ethereal Shift are the items that allow you to stall out fights for a very long time. If you get good with your cooldown juggling and stall with puddle punch between cooldowns enough, you can drag fights out with multiple opponents almost indefinitely. The careful juggling of your cube, echo, and e-shift cooldowns is the primary learning curve you'll need to get through to see this build shine. In general, try to wait as long as possible to use your echo shard. You want to get 2 cubes before you pop echo for a third. That's not always possible, but thats the goal. The ideal is: Cube - delay a few seconds - e-shift - cube - echo - cube. Anywhere in that process, if you can sneak in an extra cooldown by puddle punching around instead of cubing or e-shifting, that's great. But you always want to leave your last cube for a leap-escape. The goal is to stall as long as possible AND not die.

14Oh, also:optional
Author's category · 1 items · You might want this early for enemy jungle stealing and lane clearing. Sell it later for slots. I'm allergic to gun items so I'm putting it down here for my protection.

Echo Shard
Buy echo. Put it on cube. Live forever.
Reactive Barrier
The first step to indom, your primary defense against curse.
Transcendent Cooldown
This is pretty big because you rely a lot on activatables with this build. Def a must-buy but timing may vary depending on what you need.
Counterbuy item for dealing with fucking gun guys.
Bullet Resilience
Its often better to build Plated or Juggernaut, but this is a good cheap buy if the enemy has a little bullet damage to worry about.
Cursed Relic
THE counterbuy item. Sometimes your team will need this. Obviously you're choked for activatable slots, and given what you are, you need to replace E-shift or Leap with this. Sophie's Choice.
Refresher
If the enemy has no curse and not enough silence, this is a funny buy. If that is the case, this replaces Ethereal Shift. I guess you could also replace leap but leap is too good on Visc.
Magic Carpet
The new low-gravity thing on this item is kind of amazing. This is YET ANOTHER activatable, and I would probably replace Leap with this if you'd rather carpet around. Your milage may vary.
Healbane
Counterbuy item for nasty boys.
