Build based around Dagger (1). Can do shockingly good damage if you can hit them consistently, and you basically won't ever run out of them if you don't miss. Late game, can pretty easily deal 1000+ damage per dagger once you start stacking them.
1Early Game/Laning Phase
Author's category · 9 items · Buy L --> R. Order between regen and mystic burst is very flexible.
Extra Regen
Can skip if you aren't taking damage in lane, but I almost always end up buying this. Sell first.
Rapid Rounds
Very helpful early.
Enchanter's Emblem
Can skip if you buy a different 1.6k green. Sell later, but stay above 4.8k green spike. Good for spirit heavy lane.
2Early Alternativesoptional
Author's category · 9 items · Can be bought for help in lane
Healing Rite
Buy if low.
Rebuttal
For when they have one braincell and all it says is Q.
Extra Stamina
Gotta go fast. Buy if you plan to upgrade it.
3Early Countersoptional
Author's category · 7 items · Cheap, early counter items
Spirit Shielding
Good for early heavy spirit burst damage
Reactive Barrier
If they have tons of CC, also if you plan to buy indomitable later
Return Fire
Say NO to Graves skulls
4Mid game
Game stage · 8 items · Buy L --> R
Spirit Lifesteal
Same thing as bullet lifesteal. Would recommend skipping both to buy counter items.
Surge of Power
Built from Extra Spirit
Big damage boost to daggers, and move speed and fire rate are always nice for vyper.
Spirit Shredder
Some spirit shred and sustain, and reaches gun spike.
5Mid Alternativesoptional
Author's category · 5 items · Can swap out mid game items for these as needed.
Restorative Locket
Nice to have for emergencies
Stamina Mastery
Built from Extra Stamina
Movement is good
Spirit Resilience
Heavy spirit damage
6Mid Countersoptional
Author's category · 5 items · Useful counter items for mid game
Dispel Magic
Dealing with Debuffs
Counterspell
The Cool Way to deal with CC
Warp Stone
Keep getting kidnapped by doorman? First, skill issue. Second, buy this.
7Late game
Game stage · 4 items · Buy L --> R. BUY COUNTERS
Mystic Reverb
Can also imbue on venom (2), but putting on daggers provides some nice consistent lifesteal while dealing good aoe damage
Spirit Rend
Built from Spirit Shredder
Honestly Vyper's gun is so innacurate this is just a random chance to add more spirit shred to the people you shoot
Superior Cooldown
8Late Alternativesoptional
Author's category · 7 items
Spiritual Overflow
Built from Spirit Lifesteal
Buy instead of leech? Better gun, less sustain. Make sure to stay above green spike (4.8k worth of green items).
Ricochet
Great for dealing with big groups. Good with on-hit debuffs (Toxic Bullets, Silencer, etc.)
Spellslinger
9Late Countersoptional
Author's category · 10 items
Plated Armor
Spellbreaker
Indomitable
Built from Reactive Barrier
10Ultoptional
Author's category · 3 items · Make sure your team gets mid every time
Greater Expansion
B E E G
Refresher
"Wanna see me do it again?"
Superior Duration
11You have nothing else to buy?optional
Author's category · 1 items
Transcendent Cooldown
Built from Superior Cooldown
Very low piority, buy counters/alternatives first. Only buy if you have nothing else to get
12Personal Thoughts on Spirit Vyperoptional
Author's category · 0 items · Vyper has a lot of high spirit scalings. 2.8 on venom, 2.0 on ult, and effectively 2.8 on max stacks daggers (0.8 for no stacks, 0.4 for each stack, 5 max stacks, (0.4*5) +0.8=2.8 scaling), so spirit can do some pretty good damage. Vyper is still Vyper, so gun is still very strong, but daggers make you a threat at longer ranges as well. With the tier 3 dagger upgrade, you are basically never running out of daggers if you can hit anything with them.

Extra Charge
Gives you more daggers early, which is great when facing people who stay at high health.
Extra Spirit
If your opponents are constantly low, buy this as soon as venom is unlocked to help finish them off.
Mystic Burst
Good early burst damage now that stackless daggers can proc it.
Tesla Bullets
First we copy Ivy's animations, now we copy her build. Lets you farm and clear waves a good bit faster.
Rapid Recharge
Built from Extra Charge
Very important for Daggers (1). Big spike in damage potential.
Bullet Lifesteal
Would recommend skipping both lifesteals to buy counter greens. Can also skip both lifesteals to get a 3.2k green.
Battle Vest
Good for gun-heavy lane
Trophy Collector
If you are stomping them, buy this after tesla.
Fleetfoot
Cheaper, worse alternative to burst fire. Buy instead of rapid rounds if you intend to skip burst fire.
Golden Goose Egg
GREED. Only buy if you are confident in your team's ability to carry you, and probably DON'T get trophy collector.
Quicksilver Reload
Adds some nice extra burst damage to daggers (can't proc burst), which they suck at early. If you desperately need slots and have nothing else sellable, sell this. Merc mag is nice, but not required.
Cold Front
Nice to have close-range burst damage
Healbane
Heal-heavy lane
Enduring Speed
Slowing Hex
Counters first 38 heroes in hero select
Knockdown
Ideally you won't have to buy this but if no one else will you might need to
Compress Cooldown
Can put on any ability, but I personally choose ult to get out of sticky situations.
Tankbuster
Built from Mystic Burst
More burst damage on daggers, so even the first dagger is threatening
Boundless Spirit
More damage = more gooder
Burst Fire
Built from Rapid Rounds
Spirit build or not, this is THE Vyper Item.
Leech
Built from Bullet Lifesteal
We do a decent mix of gun and spirit so this is PROBABLY the best lifesteal option
Recharging Rush
Gun 1.6k alternative. You don't really need this unless you REALLY struggle to hit daggers.
Mystic Vulnerability
Nice boost to dagger, venom and tesla damage.
Metal Skin
"I AM BULLETPROOF!!!" -Heavy TF2
Toxic Bullets
Useful anti-heal and good damage against tanky guys
Built from Compress Cooldown
Moar abilities = moar better.
Capacitor
Built from Tesla Bullets
Buy earlier against movement-heavy heroes
Daggers stack this quickly.
Arctic Blast
Built from Cold Front
Mercurial Magnum
Built from Quicksilver Reload
Okay capstone to the build. Can skip if you need another counter. Wasn't super important even before mag nerf, but is nice to have.
Magic Carpet
LOOK, DURATION AND SPIRIT POWER ARE GOOD FOR THIS BUILD OKAY?
Escalating Exposure
Built from Mystic Vulnerability
Really not needed unless you need help dealing with some super tanky enemy player. Otherwise, they just die too fast for this to be useful.
Witchmail
Unstoppable
HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MUCH CC?
Juggernaut
Built from Enduring Speed
Anti gun/melee/slow
Silencer
Ethereal Shift
Scourge
Stick this on a tanky guy and watch the enemy team melt
Spirit Burn
PLEASE. STOP. HEALING.
