6Lane Extraoptional
Author's category · 6 items
Cultist Sacrifice
Built from Monster Rounds
WH alternative #2, The ability range is the most important thing from this item, it's timer is synced close to a rift fight for maximum aoe damage, if you play more teamfight oriented lobbies
Slowing Hex
oppressive counter to heroes with high mobility abilities like Apollo, Calico, Mina, Lash, Shiv, Celeste, falls off later due to dispel magic

Good if they have 2+ High HP, bulky heroes that have to be in your face to work

Author's category · 0 items · BILLY COMBOS: The core ability synergy you need to be aware of is the interaction between your 2 (Rising Ram) and your 3 (Blasted) when you HIT your rising ram u get 25% extra weapon dmg and your 3 gives you additional bullet AMP, this is multiplicative when used together you must always use these two things in tandem if u can when u have blasted on your opponent try your best to aim for the head and while youre shooting at the enemy randomly weave in light melees and your 1 (Bashdown). Don't forget that billy posseses the best light melee in the entire game from level 1.

Author's category · 0 items · BILLY'S EARLY GAME: Billy's Early game is weak, He lacks range and has very long cooldowns until Blasted T2 ability upgraded (you have two bashdowns) at 0:00 as soon as you zip to lane you need to move to either veil or the corner opposite of veil so you have an aggressive stance to damage troopers and have territory control, every wave spawns in 30 second intervals, your plan is to push the wave fast, but safely, respect the troopers when they push into you because they do a lot of damage, keep yourself above 70% HP if you can't then buy healing rite, At every 30 Seconds interval when the wave is at your lane see the timer and see what objective is going be up soon, for example in 2:00 minutes the small jungle creeps spawn, at 1:30 you need to hard push wave to the enemy's tower so they are jailed into making a choice, either they let you have priority on the lane jungle camp and they take the wave that's on tower, or they lose creeps to defend their jungle, in closed spaces you are actually strong so you have good room to deal some heavy damage and start creating win scenarios for yourself If you are forced in a bad situation (low health or otherwise) dont worry about losing farm, as long as your lane partner doesn't do anything stupid its fine, you can heal in whatever way you can and let your lane partner get some solo souls, if they die it is what it is Once you have T2 Blasted you can look for some short trades as you prepare for your second lane power spike, your ultimate where you can clean for a kill and get the lane guardian.

Author's category · 0 items · BILLY'S MID GAME: At mid game you are the strongest guy in the lobby, Your priority of souls should be Roam or Objective > Wave > Sinners > Jungle > Side or Mid Boxes For Kills to actually matter they have to trickle down into something more, i.e you push the wave into the enemy walker and you solo bolo a player that came to challenge you, you kill him and the walker, Of course it's more complicated but the general gist of understanding the value and reasonable probability to get a kill or catch somebody out of vision is this: [-] Are the waves synchronized (desynchronized waves mean that 2+ enemies are likely to be at the wave) [-] How is the wave state ( If it's too deep and lack a lead look to clear jungle until it reaches a place you can collect, if it's moving to your walker, defend it if it's in your reach) [-] How many people are on the map (Critical info to know if you are going to get jumped or not) [-] Am I above 70% HP- Do I have a soul lead (3k ~ 6k+ you are very ahead)- Does the hero counter billy (can affect how you think of the soul lead) [-] Do I have a teammate with me (easier to work) [-] When your team has a slight objective lead, look for a fight and then go mid boss, if you have a very strong early lead force mid boss.

Author's category · 0 items · Choosing Lane: Preferably choose to play side lane, you have veil and a lot of boxes to jump from and make a move, blue lane sucks for melee but if you don't get it you have to live with it, If it's a matchup you are confident in, start close quarters melee lifesteal and keep the wave as much as you can near the bridge to force the enemy to come close to you, otherwise do the monster rounds start and push the wave until you get T2 blasted or your Ultimate. [-] IMPORTANT OBJECTIVES AND TIME: [SJC] Small Jungle Camp 2:00 and 1:35 after clear [BX] Boxes 3:00 and every 3:00 after clear [BB] Bridge Buffs 5:00 and every 5:00 on timer [SS] Sinner's Sacrifice 8:00 and 5:00 after clear [MBBX] Mid-Boss Boxes 10:00 and 3:00 after break [URN] Urn 10:00 and every 5:00 on timer [RFT] Unstable Rift spawns around 11 and 13 mins and every 7:00 on timer after, DROP EVERYTHING AND FIGHT FOR IT

Author's category · 0 items · [-] BILLY'S LATE GAME: Control of mid wave is always important, it helps your team move and not get collapsed by the enemy team while you can collapse on them, AT ALL TIMES, EVERY STAGE OF THE GAME USE YOUR COMMS TO MAKE YOUR MOVE AND INTENTION CLEAR TO THE TEAM [-] When engaging aggressively be cautious towards the invisible wall of contested territory the enemy team controls be near the effective range of your team so you can help them and they can help you not get singled out and picked unless you have a strong lead to tank, as a tank it is your duty to engage fights and make calls, Know where your team is so you don't dive alone, At this point you need to start looking to close the game as the longer it starts to go past late game, the more you start to fall off, To tell if your team can siege you need to be 30 ~ 50 K above in souls, Having rejuv boosts your team's perceived net worth about 50% above the original, When your team has a slight objective lead, look for a fight and then go mid boss, if you have a very strong early lead force mid boss, If your team gets mid-boss but can't siege then you can use it to secure souls so you can have an advantage at catching it again.

Grit
Semi - Core. Component for all barrier items, DON'T FORGET TO ACTIVATE THE SHIELD, IT'S MANUAL!!!!
Battle Vest
Early gun defense with valuable gun stats, can be bought in lane if you are vs double gun lane (i.e. Drifter, Venator).
Return Fire
Can help funk over vyper hard (as if you weren't funking her hard already) and other high fire rate m1 heroes, note that it's a offensive item, not defensive
helps vs pure gun heroes like Silver and Venator later in the game, if you need more sustained bullet resist get escalating res, Note that it does not negate on-hit damage, buy plated armor for that
good vs telegraphed abilities like Rem Ult or lash ult or any single high damage burst (i.e yamato slash), don't forget to parry to trigger it's effect
Strong if your team has 3+ gun heroes (including you), Also mitigates Hunter's Aura effect if they bought it against you, Helps troopers too
Hunter's Aura
fire rate and bullet resist reduction that does not require your attention, Can also be bought at end game to replace stalker
Tankbuster
Good Anti-Tank Option need to buy it after mid game to proc it though

Superior Duration
rearly bought but can be good if the enemy team counter buys your knockups with debuff resist
Silence Wave
Can help against some very nasty ultimates that counter billy like geist ult moe ult kelvin ult etc, problem is that everybody has dispel magic by default, otherwise it can be strong if they are goofs
Healbane
Cheap anti-heal vs High Vamp Heroes or team comp, The heal is also very effective in rift fights so buying it before then is ideal

Warp Stone

helps you vs m1 carries and gives high slow resist, enduring speed upgrade
Phantom Strike
Instant blink, mainly helps vs flyers like vindicta and grey talon or just make a carrie's life awful

Anti - Spirit Burst, If there is too much initial burst buy E.shift, If you need protection vs sustained spirit damage buy Silencer or Inhibitor
Witchmail
Rapid Recharge Luxury Alternative, If you need more spirit resist
Indomitable
Acts as a pillow for unstoppable to avoid getting cc'ed in case of an emergency or else
Mystic Expansion
see greater expansion, If you would need this for the first rift fight, it be better to buy cultist sacrifice
Duration Extender
Runed Gauntlets
Extra Regen
Similar to Healing rite but instead for frequent, small ticks of damage
Extra Health
Component for Colossus Later
Weapon Shielding
Built from Grit
Only if you did not need battle vest in lane but the enemy team has 4+ m1 or melee heroes (i.e. Abrams, Drifter, Paradox Venator)
Enchanter's Emblem
spirit resist and the extra spirit for double bashdown, can be bought in lane if you are vs double soft carry lane (i.e. Apollo, Doorman), not a good conditional for billy
Divine Barrier
Dispel Magic Upgrade at 40 min+ Game or to counter ults that are impossible to counterspell efficiently like Pocket Ult
Siphon Bullets
Easy to apply for billy, Helps your team as an anti tank item too, If you feel like you can sustain enough damage as is
Inhibitor
A case can be made for it if your team is struggling against a Specific High Vamp, High AoE Sustain Damage Hero like Victor or Geist, against shiv buy curse relic instead unless they have unstoppable
Spirit Strike
There are better options early, only buy if you buy spirit snatch right after
Extra Charge
Doesn't help with billy's long cooldown bashdown at all, bait unless you max bashdown
