Tired of playing the game? Tired of having to farm? Or are you just tired? Have your stupid minions do all the work while they get stuck on a wall! Then get Heroic Aura with a dash of Echo Shard and have your stupid PEOPLE minions to do the rest of the work that's left while they only OCCASIONALLY get stuck on a wall!
1OPTIONALSoptional
Author's category · 2 items
Golden Goose Egg
I legit do not know if it's worth double-stacking passive income with this and Trophy Collector. But you might like it. Get this if the lane looks questionable early. Don't open it by accident.
Mystic Burst
Is this pillow filled with rocks or something? Get this if you think you can win lane through damage. Sell later since it drops off pretty hard.
2PHASE 1: LANING
Author's category · 2 items
Extra Charge
Your 3 gives them more souls if they're on a trooper. Meanwhile your 1 gives cooldown reduction on hit all game long... including if you just hit creeps! Sell this for slots.
Healing Booster
More heals means a happier teammate!
3PHASE 2: ROAMING
Author's category · 5 items · Left-to-right. Swap Decay for a counter.
Trophy Collector
It's pretty decent at soul generation. The big thing is since you're constantly roaming, it's easy to pick up free assists.
Compress Cooldown
You can aim your 1, can't you? No? Well, then just hit a neutral creep or something! I like this on your 1 so ALL your other abilities cooldown faster!
Heroic Aura
4If you REALLY want the 4.8K gun bonus.optional
Author's category · 2 items
Opening Rounds
Your gun does something! Kinda.
Fleetfoot
This is if you really don't care about Opening Rounds... But why wouldn't you if you want the gun damage?
5PHASE 3: HOW EVIL ARE YOU?optional
Author's category · 6 items · PICK ONE, IF YOU DARE!
Cursed Relic
THE MOST EVIL. Lasts 4.5 seconds during your 2. It's pure MISERY.
Scourge
VERY evil. Lasts 13.5 seconds in your 2 with redonkulous range. Use this on allies who go in. Damage is based on the ENEMY'S health and YOUR spirit scaling.
Focus Lens
Just evil. Boosted to 6 seconds in your 2. Lets spirit carries carry even better! Or shuts down enemies longer than Curse if they don't use their gun. Downside is it can be Dispelled...
6PHASE 4: THE ENDGAME BEGINS!
Author's category · 5 items · Get this after in any order.
Superior Cooldown
Built from Compress Cooldown
You have a sudden, powerful urge for some grape drank.
Transcendent Cooldown
Built from Superior Cooldown
Extremely high priority if you're running four active items, as you tend to do. Can we appreciate I got a reason to use a semicolon in the Echo Shard description, up there?
7Counter-Itemsoptional
Author's category · 11 items · Buy one of these instead of (or with) Decay if you see more value in it. Swap it for a second tier 4 if you need one later.
Silence Wave
A pretty good general item if you don't care about padding your stats via Decay.
Restorative Locket
Probably a bug, but you share the healing on this with your bud during your 2. If you don't have a reason to counter anybody, this is a safe buy.
8"I want to spend money."
Author's category · 4 items · What a coincidence!
Arcane Surge
This ain't half-bad. You can work it into the build at any time if you want even better heals.
Counterspell
Interesting ultimate. However, I pushed F on my keyboard.
Healing Tempo
Built from Healing Booster
Please stop saying I hate this item unreasonably. It's a justifiable buy if you have nothing else to spend money on (NOTE: This is not high praise).
9"I'm dying."optional
Author's category · 6 items · Make sure to get Indomitable late game!
Spirit Shielding
It's cheap and lets you survive burst damage, which is usually the only thing hitting you.
Spirit Resilience
Spirit meta SUCKS.
Weapon Shielding
Let's be honest, who even does raw gun damage anymore?
10"I DO NOT HAVE A BRAIN."optional
Author's category · 3 items · IDIOT
Healing Nova
"Hm, yes, I would love to pay $3,600 for a heal that's only valuable for five minutes of the game."
Duration Extender
If you're reading this, I'm stuck in a dark room where they force me to make support builds. Send help.

12YOUR GAME PLAN
Author's category · 2 items · Aim your pillow to reduce your cooldowns (either on players or NPC's) or to briefly stifle enemy movement. You can do damage with it, but it is utility before it is a damage dealer in this build. I don't like spamming helpers on troopers in lane because it gives enemies 50% more souls, but it is useful if you want to gather boxes during laning without leaving your buddy completely alone. After that, use your little buddies to steal ENEMY farms (boxes and sinner's alike), toss them on the trooper with a flag to create easy map pressure, and spam active items while possessing your buddies so they do all the hard stuff for you. When you get Heroic Aura, it's handy to place two helpers on a wave, possess a trooper, pop the aura, and move on. How you traverse the map is up to you. I like to use the tunnels to constantly move between the two side lanes so it's harder for the enemy to keep up with your map pressure. Anyway, Torment Pulse allegedly does damage according to the charts, but it really doesn't feel like it, so I say late game you want to do support and utility, especially with the resistances you grant allies. But there's one problem: the game doesn't keep track of that anywhere, so it's pretty hard to gauge how much impact you have. You'll have to take my word that you are influencing fights and map control substantially, it's just hard to tell. With that out of the way, did you know your 3 also lets you steal the 5-minute buffs and your 4 goes through walls?
Grit
I think I just Grit myself.

Buff friends by existing! Troopers get DOUBLE the buff! Put two helpers on troopers, pop this, and move to the next lane! If you ain't got a counter-item yet, now's the time to consider.
Decay
DON'T ALWAYS BUY THIS. Get a counter-item that's appropriate. This is here for stupid newbies who follow strict build orders and don't read annotations.
Echo Shard
Open your egg for this if you got it. It's stupid good if the enemy is dumb and won't buy anti-heal; you can keep everyone (and yourself) alive.
Arctic Blast
Sorta evil. Stupid big in your 2, and a dumb range (in a good way). Getting Superior Duration gives a 1.75 sec freeze tanky allies adore. Buy Cold Front in lane.
Alchemical Fire
Barely evil. But cheap. Throw this to inflate your damage score. Also makes your gun carries better and melts objectives... Maybe buy Greater Expansion, too.
Divine Barrier
This ain't evil at all! Self-cast when possessing an ally to cure (ult) debuffs and give an 8.1-second, 810-health shield! If you're planning on getting this, you can buy Guardian Ward in laning.
Superior Duration
It's an hourglass because this game has been going on FOREVER. A must-have for some of your tier 4 actives.
Greater Expansion
Prioritize this if you're going for Alchemical Fire. Fun fact, the range bonus in your 2 doesn't diminish, so you ACTUALLY get a multiplicative bonus! Translation: BIG RANGE
Rapid Recharge
Built from Extra Charge
I like this if I'm grabbing Divine Barrier. MORE pillows means MORE ability spam and MORE fun!
Slowing Hex
This is a lot of value for a tier 2 item... You should look up what this silences, but the big ones are Lash, Shiv, Apollo, & Calico.
Knockdown
BONK. If they fly and are annoying, use this. Vindicta, Gray Talon, and Seven.
Rescue Beam
This is for pulling, not healing. Decent for yoinky heroes like Bebop, Billy, or Lash.
Rebuttal
How could you melee such an innocent creature? (Answer: the Q key)
Reactive Barrier
Grab 'em while they're hot. If you're getting stunned, especially early game, you want this. Also builds into Indomitable, so you can work this in anywhere.
Debuff Reducer
Never be the first to fall asleep at a slumber party. Get this if you want to reduce ult debuffs like Pocket's fart.
Disarming Hex
Don't bring a gun to a pillow fight. Good for shooty-shooty-bang-bang heroes like Haze, Silver, and Vindicta.
Dispel Magic
Wouldn't it be nice if you could use this on your allies? Anyway, get this if you get silenced a lot.
Vortex Web
Built from Slowing Hex
Good for allies that wants 'em to group up. You can use it for your ult, too. It's 19 meters during your 2, which is the size of... something stupidly big.
Boundless Spirit
Your 2 gives you Boundless Spirit through its innate bonus at max level. Combine it with the real thing for fat heals. Of course, this absolutely SUCKS if the enemy has any anti-heal.
Indomitable
Built from Reactive Barrier
Van Darkholme lookin' icon. Good since skilled players will focus you with a silence when your 2 runs out. This is an ABSOLUTE buy late game.
Witchmail
A super late game buy, but the extra spirit resist is fantastic and the ability (although random) to reduce your 2 is good for emergencies.
Spellbreaker
Built from Debuff Reducer
This icon looks like an ad for Viagra.
Whatever.
Guardian Ward
Built from Grit
Sell this later if you don't want Divine Barrier. Why heal when you can just prevent the damage? Just only get Healing Booster if active items make your brain hurt, instead.
